Conventional Dog Training
While conventional dog training techniques may be somewhat effective with puppies, they are often ineffective with dogs over the age of six months.
- Techniques such as:
- Positive Reinforcement
- Negative Reinforcement
- Distraction Training
and many others can deliver inconsistent results, or be completely ineffectual with dogs who are older than six months.
The reason for this is that older dogs think differently than puppies and, as such, need to be dealt with in a different manner if you hope to achieve success in training your older dog.
UPWARD Methodology offers an alternative when conventional dog training techniques fail.
On the following pages you will discover the shortcomings of conventional techniques, when applied to training older dogs, and the way that UPWARD Methodology addresses these failures.
